I guess I will start at the beginning....
I feel like just yesterday I was this little girl. I have no idea where all the time has gone and how it continues to pass by so quickly. I remember learning what "cutting" in a line was in preschool, and that I wanted to be a gymnast when I grew up. At recess I learned to run away from the boys that chased me. Most days I preferred to read in the library instead of going outside and playing. Summer was heavenly; no school, swimming everyday, and not having to wake up early. But the summers quickly became filled with tennis, volleyball, and cheer camps.
(No pictures from middle school on my computer...consider yourself lucky)
I awkwardly entered middle school and had three very difficult years of trying to figure out who I was and what made me happy.
Many say high school was the best time of their life. I am happy to say this is not true of my experience, or better not be! I was very involved in high school and had a lot of fun playing sports. I made really good friends through the ups and downs that the high school years bring. Most importantly, I learned a lot of really important lessons from high school; I began to realized who I was, a daughter of God. This realization led me to see what was really important in life and made me set goals of how I could become a better person. I made it out of high school eager to see what college had in store for me. My goal had always been to attend BYU. I did not have a second college choice, and so when I received my letter of acceptance, I layed on my bed and cried.
I went to BYU a month after I graduated from Parma High school. I entered BYU as a nervous freshman, not knowing what to expect. Compared to my hometown in rural Idaho with 285 students in my high school, BYU was very intimidating. I ended up working very hard in school and getting decent grades while still getting no sleep. I had two amazing friends and roommates and we did everything together. Freshman year was my favorite year at college.
We pulled a few pranks
Made a few music videos
Went to lots of dances!
(Halloween Dance 2007)
and.....got in a wreck :(
Freshman year we made lots of guy friends that were in the dorms with us. We were deathly afraid of RMs and were so sad when each of our freshman guy friends began to leave on missions.
Sophomore and Junior year were not as wild, but still so much fun. I got three new amazing roommates and we made memories and had fun while trying to pass our classes.
We made more music videos
Pulled more pranks
and had pranks pulled on us....
and like always....we dressed up as much as we could
